We are proud to offer the newest and best technology in our practice -- The digital Kodak Cone Beam CT X-Ray machine.
For your convenience all 3D x-rays can be taken in our Orange office, with minimal radiation.
The 3D X-ray allows us to see a much more detailed and accurate view of the position of the teeth and jaws, as well as look at the TMJs. It provides quick, comfortable, and effective dental imaging for the most precise diagnosis possible.
Why 3D?
Over the past few years, 3D imaging has become an important tool to the modern orthodontic practice. 3D imaging systems provide enhanced images that allows Dr. Miller to uncover critical information that cannot be detected when relying solely upon 2D imaging (he’s discovered many ‘hidden’ issues that the dentist and patient were unaware of) . This improves diagnoses and treatment planning for patients, which improves the final results and smile!
Kodak - Highest Quality Images
Kodak has been around for nearly 150 years, and is one of the most respected brands in the USA. This CT machine is unmatched, creating amazing quality of images. The Kodak Carestream CBCT offers the most extensive capabilities in one system and enables better communication between Dr. Miller and patients and their referring general dentists.
Less Radiation Exposure
Most importantly, the Kodak CBCT gives Dr. Miller more control in limiting radiation exposure to patients. Adhering to the “As Low As Reasonably Achievable” (ALARA) principle. In fact, it allows for 3D imaging at a lower dose than panoramic imaging. The newest technological advances in software algorithms and noise reduction processing allow the units to capture effective low-dose 3D images.
